You probably know my story: Aortic dissection. Open heart surgery. I would have died if not for the doctors and nurses at St. Mary's General Hospital, and now it's time for me to give back.

I owe everything to the people who saved my life and took great care of me for almost four weeks. Chances are they've also taken care of someone else you know.
If not, they will.
So I'm running a 10km race Sept 14 in Kitchener dedicated to the hospital's cardiac care centre that also helped me re-learn how to walk.
I'm hoping to raise $1,000, with 100 per cent of new and replacement medical equipment at St. Mary's General Hospital purchased with donated funds.
